archipelago is looking for a junior (ir.) architect for our Leuven office

archipelago – a growing architecture office based in Brussels, Leuven, Paris and Barcelona with a diverse portfolio of large-scale projects in Belgium and abroad.

Following our recent expansion and the current exploration of new markets, archipelago is looking for new talent that wants to contribute to the development of the office and join a diverse team of architects, engineers, interior architects, urban planners, researchers, sustainability consultants, graphic designers, BIM modelers, and many more.

We are looking for a talent who is passionate about architecture and values themes such as future-oriented and sustainable building, generative design, and user comfort.

Profile

  • Master's degree in (ir.-)architecture
  • At least 4 years of experience (including internship)
  • For our Leuven office, excellent knowledge of Dutch (native language) is necessary, knowledge of French is a plus
  • Precise, independent, initiative-taking, eager to learn
  • You are able to set clear priorities and maintain an overview during busy period
  • Managing a project from A to Z
  • Driving license B (advantage) for traveling to sites and external appointments
  • Good knowledge of BIM (Revit) and BIM coordination is an advantage

Function

  • You will participate in large-scale studies and projects (complete execution of projects up to delivery) and perform supporting work for this purpose
  • You will work in a team to develop concepts and projects
  • You will coordinate and lead a team (assistant architect + intern architects
  • You will conduct site visits and communicate with contractors and construction workers
  • You can eventually act as an independent project leader
