
archipelago is looking for a junior (ir.) architect for our Leuven and Brussels office
archipelago – a growing architecture office based in Brussels, Leuven, Paris and Barcelona with a diverse portfolio of large-scale projects in Belgium and abroad.
Following our recent expansion and the current exploration of new markets, archipelago is looking for new talent that wants to contribute to the development of the office and join a diverse team of architects, engineers, interior architects, urban planners, researchers, sustainability consultants, graphic designers, BIM modelers, and many more.
We are looking for a talent who is passionate about architecture and values themes such as future-oriented and sustainable building, generative design, and user comfort.

Profile
- master’s degree in (engineering) architecture
- at least 4 years of experience (including internship), in particular in site supervision and in particular in drafting technical specifications
- for our Leuven office, excellent knowledge of Dutch (native level) is required, knowledge of French is a plus
- for our Brussels office, excellent knowledge of French (native level) is required, knowledge of Dutch is a plus
- accurate, independent, with initiative, eager to learn and setting priorities
- category B driving licence for travel to construction sites and external meetings
- good knowledge of BIM (Revit) and BIM coordination is an asset
Function
- you contribute to large-scale studies and projects (full execution of projects up to handover) and provide supporting work for this
- you carry out site visits and communicate with contractors and construction workers
- you work as part of a team and your role focuses specifically on drafting specifications documents
- in time, you can act as an independent project leader
